Sumi is a notes app. Your notes are Markdown files on your device or in your own iCloud Drive. They never go to us.
What stays on your device
Note text, page names, file names and folder paths. The AI features use Apple's on-device models; your notes are not sent to any server for them.
iCloud
If you keep a graph in iCloud Drive, Apple syncs the files between your devices under your Apple account. We have no access to them.
Crash reports
If you agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash and performance reports. As a TestFlight tester, TestFlight also sends us crash reports and any feedback you choose to submit.
Sumi also sends crash and hang reports to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in Sentry's EU data region (Germany). A report contains the stack trace, the app and OS version, the device model, and a short log of app events and error codes. It contains no note text, page names, file names or folder paths, no screenshots, and no user ID or other identifier of you. You can turn this off in Settings with "Send Crash Reports".
Feedback
When you send feedback, you choose how (email or share sheet) and what to include. The optional diagnostics contain the app version, device model, approximate graph size (for example "under 100 pages"), whether the graph is in iCloud, and a log of app events and error codes. They contain no note text, page names or file paths.
No tracking, no ads, no accounts
Sumi has no sign-in and does not track you across apps or websites. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
